The aim of the Travel & Tourism Web Awards was
to recognise those who do the simple things right, often
the most difficult task any of us face. In online terms
this means clear purpose, easy navigation, effective
and aesthetically-pleasing design, and minimal obstruction
in the course of a user getting what they have visited
the site for.
'Business Travel is a hugely important part of TravelMole's
remit, and this category is designed to cater directly
for it. Those that stuck their heads above the parapet
had a range of aspects to commend them, but straightforward
visual appeal was something they all had in common.
On the other hand judges' feedback was that many could
do from "lightening up" a little.'
The shortlist for the Best Travel Management Website
Award included the following business travel websites:
waytetravel.co.uk
americanexpress.co.uk
carlsonwagonlit.com
deltatravel.co.uk
According to the judges, the winner - waytetravel.co.uk
- showed good levels of all-round competence, clear
design values and an encouraging "let's-get-on-with-it"
attitude.
Waytetravel Managing Director Chris Morris accepted
the award at the May 11th Award Presentation ceremony
at the Sheraton Park Hotel, London. '
