Effective 19th September 2007, British Airways passengers
who check-in and print an online boarding pass will
no longer need to see a British Airways representative
for a passport check upon arrival at the airport. Thanks
to recent ba.com updates, the online check-in process
now prevents potential "domestic selectees"
from printing a boarding pass, eliminating the need
for every passenger to see BA staff before security.
This new development simplifies the airport process
for many travellers departing the United States, as
any passenger travelling with hand baggage only may
now proceed directly to security with their online boarding
pass.
From 26th September, online boarding passes will also
reflect the change in procedures.
