Continental Airlines will start transatlantic services
from Heathrow from 30 March 2008, following the entry
into force of the Open Skies deal.
The airline has announced it will operate twice-daily
direct services from Heathrow terminal 4, the future
home of SkyTeam airlines after BAs move to terminal
5, to both New York Newark and Houston George Bush Intercontinental
in addition to its Gatwick services to the two cities
and Cleveland.
Flights will leave Heathrow for Newark at 1025 and
1600 and for Houston at 0830 and 1115. The return flights
are at 0900 and 1840 from Newark and 1825 and 2225 from
Houston .
Houston services will be operated using a Boeing 767-200ER,
with 25 BusinessFirst and 149 economy seats, while those
to Newark will be on a 777-200, configured with 48 passengers
in BusinessFirst and 235 in economy.
