Emirates is to bring forward plans to expand flights
to and from the UK due to a fast-growing customer demand.
On 1 August, four months earlier than planned, the
airline will launch a third daily evening service from
Gatwick to Dubai. Three-class Airbus 330-200 aircraft
will be used giving departures at 10:00 and 14:00 for
same day arrival, and the new 21:15 service arriving
early next morning.
The airline will now have nine daily ex-UK flights
to Dubai: 1 from Birmingham, 3 from Gatwick, 3 from
Heathrow and 2 from Manchester. The new Gatwick flight
connects with Emirates' services to the Australian cities
of Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and, from 26 October, Brisbane.
