Lufthansa extends paperless travel
In addition to Lufthansa's own direct destinations,
flights to the worldwide partner destinations
of Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand, All Nippon
Airways and SWISS can now be booked with etix®
Together with those of Lufthansa partners Air
Canada, Austrian, bmi, LOT Polish Airlines, Scandinavian
Airlines, United, the total number of etix®
destinations has increased to more than 400 worldwide.
There are plans to include destinations of Spanair,
Asiana, Thai Airways and VARIG on the etix®
list soon.

Improved seat comfort in Europe
New seats in the Business and Economy Classes
will provide improved comfort on Lufthansa flights
within Germany and Europe from this spring. By
October, all 140 aircraft will be refitted.
The standard of comfort will be much higher due
to no hard metal or carbon structures in the seat
backs. In addition, knee room will be increased
by 4 cm.
New Business Class features:
- Leather seats
- Unoccupied middle seat provides more personal
space and privacy for working
- Seat breadth of 48 cm
- A centre console provides additional storage
space in the vacant middle seat
- Revolutionary new coat hooks on the side
of the seat allow clothing to be hung up, even
when the table is folded up
