United Airlines is to launch direct services between
Denver and London Heathrow on 30 March 2008, the day
on which the new Open Skies agreement between the US
and the European Union comes into effect.
The daily service will leave Heathrow at 1305, arriving
in Denver at 1614 while the return will leave Denver
at 1855, arriving in London at 1055 the next morning.
The service will be operated using a Boeing 777, configured
in a four-class service. It will have 12 first-class
’suites’, 49 flat-bed business seats, 83 in
premium economy and 114 in economy.
United will compete on the route with British Airways.
