Testing requirements have changed for passengers arriving in England
From the 7th of January 2022, travellers arriving into England were no longer required to take a pre-departure COVID-19 test. With further changes occurring on the 9th of January 2022, allowing for lateral flow tests to be taken with two days of arriving in England rather than PCR tests required previously.

Discounted lateral flow tests
As mentioned above, from the 9th of January 2022 lateral flow tests are the only testing requirement for travellers entering England. The lateral flow test must be taken within two days of landing in England.
The lateral flow tests required cannot be those supplied by the NHS, and must be bought privately with most circumstances requiring the traveller to show proof of purchase before travelling.
