All Covid 19 restrictions are to be removed for passengers arriving into the UK.
Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps announced that from Friday the 18th of January 2022 there will be not passenger restrictions for arrivals into the UK.
This announcement will see the end of passenger locator forms as well as the requirement for testing on arrival for non-vaccinated passengers.
These changes will be applicable across the United Kingdom with the devolved Governments all agreeing to proceed with the removal.
As well as the removal of testing and passenger locator forms, airlines have announced plans to remove the mandatory wearing of face masks.
In recent times British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have updated their mask wearing policies, in addition to low cost carriers Jet2.
From 16 March, our face mask policy is changing.
Where we’re clear the destination you’re travelling to doesn’t require a face mask on board, it will become optional 😷 ✈️
Please continue to respect fellow passengers’ mask preferences in these instances.#BritishAirways pic.twitter.com/vgh5ws7DfO

With the legal requirement to wear a face mask now removed in England, we believe our customers should have the personal choice whether to wear a mask onboard 🛫 The mask rules that apply will depend on the route you’re flying, because requirements differ by destination. — virginatlantic (@VirginAtlantic) March 15, 2022
